Signature Evening with Peter Zeihan

Our sold out Marquee Event of 2023 featured geopolitical expert, Peter Zeihan, who was electric. Zeihan joined members and special guests to share more about how place impacts financial, economic, cultural, political and military developments.

A remarkable presenter and storyteller, Zeihan walked us through how key moments in history continue to shape our current political and economic climate – as well as what we can expect to see over the next 10, 20, even 50 years in powerful countries like China, Russia and the United States. The author and strategist addressed war and post-war industrialization, saying, “If we still want stuff in the post-industrial world, without China and Germany, we will need to double our supply chain on this continent to do it.”

ECC guests had the chance to hear more from Zeihan, engage in a fireside chat and ask questions about not only what is in store for the future, but how Colorado fits into the larger picture. Zeihan also shared copies of his latest book, The World is Just the Beginning, which explores how 2019 was the last great year for the world economy.
